About Us

Our organization is dedicated to supporting children who have experienced the tragedy of losing a parent by providing them with financial assistance and resources to help pave the way for their future. Through fundraising efforts and community support, we aim to help mitigate the financial burden the surviving parent faces by assisting with providing the child with the necessary tools and opportunities to thrive despite their loss. 

Brandon Cimek sadly passed away unexpectedly in April, 2022 at the young age of 39. This unfortunately was a traumatic experience for the family as they were in Mexico on Spring Break together when he had to be rushed to a hospital for a week and passed away only days after finally arriving back home to Michigan.

Brandon left behind his wife and two young boys, Mason and Gavin, who attend Byron Center Schools. The community has greatly rallied around the family over the past years and we are forever grateful. Brandon LOVED to golf. We thought it only fitting to hold an outing each year in his honor! 

The Cimek Memorial Non-Profit is on a mission to help others in the community who have had a tragic loss of a parent. We truly hope to host this event for years to come!
